The Mighty Guinness
It was Guinness’s turn yesterday morning, we went out for our run/walk program and he was so keen to go, went to the box near the front door and brought his lead to me, bouncing all the way. I figured that the program he’s doing is fine for him but not challenging for me, so I decided to do the runs quite fast. That way I’d get a bit of a workout and he’d not have a problem with it - his legs are a mile long! So, that’s what we did - I was puffed, he had a good outing and is starting to run really well with me. Next week I’ll get him onto a bit more of a jog and a bit less of a walk.
I also got back to the podiatrist yesterday afternoon and picked up my orthotics. Feel like I’m walking on high heels a bit. I’m to go out for a 5k run in them then take the next day off to see if I have any aches and pains. I was tempted to go out this morning but I banged my sore shin twice last night so was a bit achey, decided to have the morning off. I’ll go out tomorrow morning and take Friday off running, as we’ll be preparing to go camping and I’ll just take the dogs out for a walk.
Sinner went to agility class last night and was just excellent. He isn’t keen on the weave poles, so will need to practice that at home, it’s really the only thing limiting him. He’ll definitely graduate from beginners class. It’s so nice to be back into the sport.
I really must change the picture on this blog - it’s a cute pup but it’s not exactly athletic!
