Unless you don’t mind not knowing what they’ll bring home from work!! Today I brought home a young cockatiel, he was found on the ground by a client, and he has cat bite wounds on his head, wing and rump. He also has no top beak, and is quite lethargic. Emily and I didn’t have the heart to euthanase him, he’s so cute. We’ve called him Mordecai. He’s being fed by syringe because he doesn’t seem to be able to eat seed, which the kidlets just love. I’ve clipped his wings, and he’s okay about being handled. I’m not sure if he’ll survive, I don’t know if his beak will grow out. At least we can give him a chance.

I’m set for my long run tomorrow. I downloaded some podcasts from the ABC site - some of Andrew Denton’s interviews from his Enough Rope site - there’s a real variety there to listen to, so it should be enjoyable. Don’t know what the weather will be like in Redcliffe, it’s pretty wild along the coast at the moment.

Guinness has eaten the vinyl top of a card table on the patio.
